Patriot Ls6 Heads
My engine is in my sig. I was wondering what everybody thought of the 320cfm patriot heads. I know they are a lot cheaper than everyone else and that is what worries me about buying them. Thanks

the ones that flow 296 by patriot are proven to make 36 flywheel hp on a stock cam ls1 with just headers....i have them and made 402whp with 222 cam and ls6 intake....from what i hear, that would make them pretty good.

I know they are a cheaper head but with a budget i think they will do. I dont know a whole lot about head flows but 320cfm seemed pretty good. This is a street car so i hope they will work. Trickflow and afr are like twice as expensive or i would do them. What should i look for on the flows? Thanks

so what should i be looking at since i have a 383, 500HP? With the head swap im also gonna do custom pushrods, custom head gaskets, and a crankshaft scraper if i can find one. I also have a decked block so that will probly heighten compression wont it?

I used felpro gaskets last time my heads were off, but a high performance instructor at school told me about cometicgaskets, their products look good so i was gonna try them. With how much it takes to do a head gasket i want put some good ones in there.

Do a search for 383 in the dyno section.

Like go to GM and OEM gaskets? Is there anything that is bad about putting pp heads on a 383? or is it just not the greatest move? i have a terrible budget, so i cant go to big on heads. Thanks for all the advice guys

a 383 warrants hi flow heads. should look into sending your cores to TSP nd let them run there cnc program, for budget purposes. maybe save a few bucks over the patriots. the mls gm head gaskets peform just as well if not better in some occasions over the cometic.

Not a knock on PP just a FYI..
If I were going OEM head I would look elsewhere. I would gladly pull my ported OEM heads this weekend to put towards some AFR's if I had a firm buyer....
