Default Cam chose.

I am in the market for a new cam. Something on a 114lsa is a must. Deration needs to be 224-230 and the lift i would like to keep under .585 if all posible. Does any on have any ideas or is there some one out there that can help me out.

Are you looking for a premade cam or are you wanting to do a custom grind or what?

Ether or it does not matter to me. Premade would be good because it would be proven. But i was told someone on this board could custom make me a cam for what i want.

I honestly recommend giving the guys at Texas Speed a call. I think they do custom grinds. You may also like one of their premades. Just give them a call a talk with them about what you want. They've always been real helpful with me

TR 224 cam or the new 224/227 cam...lift is a bit higher, but good springs will take all the anxiety away.

For a good custom call Allan Futral at Futral Motorsports, the link to his site is >>>>>>>>

With your car is making ~390rwhp with the LPE GT2-3 and Basket Case Psycho Racing heads. What type of power gain are you wanting from the new cam?

It's my understanding the LPE GT2-3 is good for ~400rwhp+ with the right heads.

Can you tell us about your heads and who ported them, flow numbers, what kind of springs etc?

A 224 XE-R on a 114 or a 226 XE-R on a 114 would probably give you ~15rwhp gain over the current cam.
