Default lsx running on nitro fuel

So in one of the threads on here was sayin how nitro is fuel from GOD!! So i was thinkin.... all this talk about converting to e85, what would, if at all possible, would be needed to convert a standard lsx motor to run on nitro?? Im not actually thinking about doing it but actually wondering, lol. More of a fantasy/fun thread here.........

hmmm. I do have a gallon of nitro sitting on the shelf for my R/C truck
biggest thing would be getting the a/f ratio right and a very good fuel cut off.....nitro is self igniting so once the motor is warm it will fire with no spark under high commpression

$40 bux a gallon and AFR of 5:1 would equate to a $700 fill up going 20 miles or so. Of course, your financial situation may be different than mine...

I think your A/F is a little off:

Nitromethane - is a fuel that is used mostly in specialized drag racing classes, "nitro funny cars" and "top fuel". Nitromethane's chemical formula is CH3NO2. The oxygen in nitromethane's molecular structure means that nitromethane does not need as much atmospheric oxygen to burn, part of the oxygen needed to burn nitromethane is carried in the fuel itself. Typical A/F ratio for nitromethane is 1.7:1 and nitromethane has an energy content of 5,000 BTU/lb
