Default What are you sifting your stock bottom end at ?

Well that about sums it up, I have Futral F-14 cam with springs locks and retainers, that I know can handle 7K

What is a safe shift point for this stock bottom end with 40K miles?

Or better yet, so nobody get's held liable if I blow it, what do you shift your stock bottom end motor with cam upgrade at?

I shift at 6800-7000. I do not have arp rod bolts. Figure if it lets go I'll just build a forged motor that I can spin higher.

6800 with rev limiter set at 7k. Completely stock bottom end. I wouldn't trust it past 7k though.

Stock bottom-end shifting at 6800-7K. Ive been doing it for 2,000 miles and take it there everytime i drive it, the short has 68k and bad piston slap . There is no telling how long it will last, i would atleast get an ls6 oil pump and keep the number of times you do it to a minimum if your worried about longevity. In my case i have an ls2 ready to slide in this spring

Rev limiter set to 6800. I was logging a run and hit the limiter on the bottle. Log showed 7900. Didn't hurt it.
