Was this detonation or just an engine failure on a good nitrous hit?

Was this detonation or just an engine failure on a good nitrous hit?
I went to the track awhile back and blew up my motor. I was hitting it with a 2 stage setup (100 off the line and switching to a 200 after the 60ft). It ran 4 passes on the motor fine and blew up on the nitrous pass.
Before I went to the track, I was on the dyno and made 100 hp hits and 200hp hits and it ran fine. The only difference between the dyno and the track was that on the dyno I was using nozzles in the intake boot. When I went to the track I switched over to a 2 stage Nitro Daves plate. The motor went boom a little after half track. Here are some pics tell me what you think.

Ouch!!!! how many miles on the motor? did you re-tune when you installed the nitro plate? if not then I would say the tune caused it. I know some people local that run 200 shot on stock block for awhile now and have not had any issues.

The amount of load you are putting your engine on a well prepped track can never be duplicated on the dyno or on the streets. The guy who tuned my car for the new kit i have tuned it for 91 octane, yet he told me to never run it on 91 always with a bottle of Torco or 100+ octane fuel. I am also running a plate. He also does a 3 stage tune, street, dyno and next week will be the track tune, so I will hold off using it until I get the final stage done.
