Default valvetrain shopping list help

Hey u guys Im looking to upgrade my valve-train and prolly do a custom grind cam.. was wondering if any of you guys know where i can get the cheapest 918 valve-springs with titanium retainers?i know allot of the sponsors have good deals but Dont exactly know the difference and what to look for ?and also i need standard length oil restricting pushrods heard there made by comp but cant find them anywhere.. Also if anyone anything i should add to the list id really appreciate it and suggestions and comments are always welcomed.

Generally, if you're looking to get titanium retainers (which may or may not be necessary, depends on your application), you might as well get a dual spring kit, as buying 918's and titanium retainers individually would be much more expensive, and you wouldn't get the added lift protection that a dual spring provides.

Also, while hardened pushrods are a must when raising shift points, if your cam has a smaller base circle than stock (which many aggressive aftermarket lobes have), you might need a different length pushrod to keep the valvetrain geometry correct.

well.. Im looking for 918 to accommodate the lift nothin major.and still and upgrade over stock. the titanium retainers to lighten up the valvetrain and oil restricting pushrods also hardened as well to keep the lifters pumped as im trying to retain the factory DOD. not looking for outstanding power just a little more performance.

Still confused...... no need for oil restricing pushrods.... The factory rods aren't.

the factory DOD works a little diffrent than regular engines..DOD disables $ cylinders when cruising .. the DOD is activated with the oil pressure so the lifters are longer and have like a "spring" on the end.. so they are only good to a certain lift (.590 i believe.) and with the oil restricting pushrods it keeps the lifters pumped with oil ..and also wanna keep the single beehive to lower weight and friction.

LOL... no offense but I am an LSx engine builder and am well educated to the oiling system. Thanks for the lesson though It doesn't need to keep the lifters "pumped" . It's actually keeps the pushrod from moving. The oil pushes on a locking pin. What i'm trying to say is you don't need oil restricting pushrods......

I got a set of 918s I can sell cheap. I had them before I got my LS6 heads. Very low miles, like new. Make me an offer if you want.
