sealing WS6 ram air hood
I'm looking to seal my new WS6 hood to the WS6 lower air box and would prefer to use 3M weatherstripping. I can't find anyone around here who sells it. I have tried Lowe's, Home Depot, local hardware stores. They all sell some cheap-o brand.
Anyone know where I can purchase it online?
This is what I'm looking for specifically:
3M weatherstripping

I bought mine at Wal-Mart (same as pictured in the link) I agree with the BG comment though, I think you would get a better seal going that route.

Nothing better than the BG setup. I;ve had mine for about two years now. Nothing else could look more factory. The quality and fit is so good, it looks 100% stock.

Only problem is the Brian Green mod won't work on a ASCD hood, which I have.
I'm just going to do the weatherstrip mod and see how it does.

Go ahead and buy about twice the amount of stripping that you think you will need, just in case. You should also unroll the stripping a day or two before you are going to make the seal, just tape it on both ends and let it flatten out overnight. Good luck

Re: sealing WS6 ram air hood
I can't see the price of that Brian Green kit!!!
I made a very similar setup with under $10 worth of materials from Home Depot.
I made mine out of sheetmetal, and it utilizes the original large baffle as a removable rain block. It might not be quite as perfect and fancy as the BG, but I'll spend the $250 I saved on some other parts!

I looked all over Baton Rouge today and couldn't find it. I tried both Walmart and KMart they didn't sell the 3M, just the same stuff I found at Home Depot.
I'll probably end up calling 3M directly and seeing if I can order straight from them. I couldn't find anywhere to purchase it online.

It's a neat setup, but too much money.
I took advantage of my ram air hood by cutting it up. Took out the horizontal fins, baffels and all. When you look at the holes in my hood your looking straight at the air filter. pics are in my member profile.
