6.0, stock 243's, medium cam with a 51 lobe intensity and good lift, good icl, truck intake is better than an ls6 intake, but the gears and slicks are going to rob you, smaller headers than I would run, but minimal backpressure..

I would say you might see 435 at the wheels.

What do you think? 1 7/8 headers? I need the 4.56's to get the pig off the line.

Yes, I think 1 7/8ths would be better but not a dire neccessity..

I just meant the gears would not show as much on a dyno but you are making up for that and then some in torque multiplication for the track.

Gotcha; I'm not familiar with chassis dyno theory -- I hope to have it together by August/September, so I will revive this thread with the track results, good or bad. Previous best was 14.2 @ 98 with 400 FWHP 350 3.73's and a 4 speed manual (same 1st gear as a T56). 60' times were in the 2.0 range, but gearing was not on my side. I think I can cut several tenths off the 60' with the 4.56's.

This is incorrect. The standard 1999-2007 truck intakes are terrible, the Trailblazer SS style(on 2007+trucks also) truck intake is better though.

I just saw a dyno test that showed that the FAST 102mm LSXRT truck intake made 20rwhp over the Trailblazer SS intake on the truck forum the other day.

Big Ugly flows better than an LS6 intake.

i feel the 1 3/4 headers will help move that heavy truck off the line compared to the big ones. the large lift/short duration figure should promote high volume in each primary so i see where your coming from, but the split will help to offset that.

The issue with headers is that nobody makes a set in anything other than 1 5/8. I'm going to have to go by pictures, and hope that eventually I can find some that are close enough.

'68 Chevy C10 -- Thorley makes headers that fit, but only in 1 5/8.

I'm going to look into 68-74 Chevelle headers (unless I find a better option.) They are dynatech, and are 1 7/8 - 1 3/4
