Default 398 build advice

So I'm planning on doing a 398 build here soon and I'm looking for some imput. I'll be using a lq4 block bored .030. I'll use a 3.90 crank with a 6.125 rod and 4.030 pistons ofcourse. My goals are 550whp na and have the abilty to through some giggle gas on it later on, my rpm range I'd like is around 2500-6500, street car running 91 octane pump gas.looking for 10:5:1-11:1 compression I think
Now I have a nice set of ported/polished 243s would these do nicely on this setup or would l92s be better(by a considerable amount?) also since I plan on spraying would my current 85mm bbk intake feed this or would I be starving it right off the bat? Let me hear your thoughts I'm ready to start piecing this this together

You are going to have a hard time getting 550rwhp with those heads and intake. And just out of curiosity why did you go with a 3.9" crank instead of a 4" and make a 408 out of it?

Going to need custom pistons or 6.200 rods and use 1.105" pistons (which will still be out of the hole), 1.105 is more common.

I'm sure you could get Diamond to make you 1.090" CH pistons without charging for a full custom.

Full custom you will be able to make piston better suited for nitrous, specially with that stroke size.

i prefer under square motors and its different, for pistons i've found these with the help of another memberhttp://www.coasthigh.com/Chevy-LS-6-...ns-p/14512.htm these use a 6.125 rod and a 3.90 stroke, so perfect for my setup I think as long as they dont overtop, which is what im looking for assistance with to be sure

Well here's what I've got in mind so far
probe srs 3.90 stroke 4.030 bore piston -8.5 cc
k1 3.90 stroker crank
k1 or callies connecting rods 6.125"
according to the probe site these shouldn't over top the bore with this setup but I'd love a second thought on that, as for the heads and intake I'm thinking sell both my 243s and bbk and get a set of l92s and a intake(not sure of options on this part haven't done research)

seems like a dead thread now but I'll try to keep the forum clean by posting more info I've found in here instead of starting another thread.

after some looking i've found a kit made by probe for this exact setup http://www.coasthigh.com/Chevy-LS2-6...12-ps-c392.htm
now it says for a ls2 but correct me if Im wrong will work in a lq4 right?
I've got the coin to buy it now if it's right so i'll be needing head/cam/intake recommendation's as well as what I should have my machinist do to my block other than the bore.

i was planning to build the same motor with the same crank and pistons. i spoke with mark oneal at probe and started inquiring about the pistons and he told me they would not work with my heads. i have etp 11 degree heads so if you plan to stay 15 degree you should be fine but if you want to run aftermarket heads it may be an issue later down the line.
