Default Cam Installed and new numbers

Last month, I had England Green install a cam in my LS6. It's their Mayhem II cam, and it's a mid 230/low 240 cam on a 113lsa. Car made nice numbers and is very drivable. My buddy's ls1 vette actually made 436rwhp with this same cam and stock 241 heads.

What do you think a ported fast intake would do on my car with stock 243 heads? DO you think I could get to 450rwhp? What about ET and MPH gain?

Thanks

Mark

Thanks guys.

Zacht, I'm exactly sure on the specs. They like to keep their cam specs to themselves, like LG and ECS. Some don't like it, but I don't mind. They do fantastic work. I do know that the intake is in the mid 23X's and the exhaust is in the low 24X's, lift is in the low 600's and it's on a 113.

Does anybody have any input on a fast intake for my car? I have searched it to death, but can't decide what to do. It seems that cars with the stock ls6 intake and ported 243 heads don't put down much more than my car. So I really have counted out porting the 243 heads. Not sure on going with Trick flow/afr heads/install/tune for the 20-30rwhp at 3k when you factor in all the cost. Guess it's a good investment for the future if when the stock block goes south. Any input would be appreciated. Looking to trap 123-5mph on 18's. I was trapping 118mph with decent air at 383rwhp, full street trim.

If it goes you better hope it doesnt tag a head in the process.

I would say go with the fast. It couldnt hurt you. If they make more HP on a stock motor then it really should help you out. If youre planning to go with better heads then definitely go with the fast! You wont ever have to buy another one if you decide to build the bottom end or go boost.

That's another reason I would hate to go with heads. If you don't mind, are you using a Fast 90/92? Did you see any gains NA in MPH? I've read of people with 243 heads and a bigger cam gaining 1-2mph with a ported fast 90/92 setup at corvette forum in the drag racing section(yes I know, CF, let's not go there). I can justify 1-2mph and $800(used)-1400 since I can do this install myself.

youll see about 20-25rwhp from a ported fast 90 or 92. the new 102 is overkill IMO until you do heads.

A Z with my same exact cam(in sig) and same long tubes trapped 122 putting down 42xrwhp.

I'm on the fence about the FAST too. I'd like to find some before/after dyno/track times on A4's.

Damn you Z06 guys are MPH ******!

Thanks for the info. I figured that my mph goal is doable with 450rwhp. I also have 3.90's, so that might help out a little bit. Too bad that it won't happen with the 2000-3000ft DA's we have in the summer time here.
