I Was Wondering Is This A Good Cam To Go With On My Set Up. I Have 373 Gears, Hooker Longtubes, Off Road X-pipe And A Tci Super Street Fighter 3500 Stall, And A Trans Go Shift Kit. The Cam Is A Thunder Raceing 227/227-576/576=110

do you mean 227/224? TR doesnt make a single slit 227 cam. they have the 224/227 and 227/224 on a 114 i believe, and the 230/224 110 and 224/224 112/114.

looks like a good cam, i'd get it on a 112 or 114 since your an a4 though, easier around town and to tune.

I also recommend a 112 and higher LSA, but then again what do you want or expect out of a cam? What is the car used for? Have you decided on what springs to run ?

Sounds like a nice cam. Is it one of the grinds TR sell that isn't listed on their website? I'd favor a 114 LSA for an A4

My TR230/224 is ona 110.5 and It drives fine daily but has a healthy chop to it . I know I have a really good tune though. I would recomend a 112 or a 114 if that will bother you. But Ive gotten very good performance with TR cams and highly recomend them.

What are your driving habits? 60 miles sounds highway to me... If so any cam will be fine for that. If its 60 miles through NYC ya might wanna consider something a lil more mild. I drove my GM ASA cam for over a year daily. I loved the 110 LSA at the redlights

Too many people on here think the LSA makes all the difference in the world. Any decent tuner can get the drivability where you want it.

TR has cut a few single pattern 227 cams on a 110lsa. They are not on the webpage, but can be a custom ordered.

We are in the process of re-doing the entire webpage. Once the new page is up, there will be many more cams added to the list.

The TR236 is an excellent cam that people really don't seem to look into. It has shown very solid gains over the TR224, and once tuned, driveability is very good. Look for more dyno numbers from this cam in the coming months.

if ur tuner know's what he's doing and u have a good stall (I had an X1 230/227 .591.571 112) and Jayson from MTI tuned that sucker to where u could barely hear the cam till u matted it.

get ur cam of choice and get a good tuner to fine tune the little things....and DON'T FORGET THE TB HOLE....that makes a world of diff. in the morning start!!

I have found that many people think they can tune are cars, but only a few can actually do a good job. This has been my experience.

I agree, however some are better then others. It took me 5 minutes with ls1 edit to make my 230/236 107lsa cam idle and fire up cold or hot just like stock. Although, the idle doesn't sound stock.
