Default TEA heads and FMS 228/230 cam

What kind of power will this setup make on a 2000 Z28, 6 speed, with all the boltons and LS6 intake? The heads I am looking at is the TEA stage 2 5.7 heads (the new optional hand finished ones) and a Futrel 228/230 cam. Would this cam fot with heads that have been milled .030? or would I have to fly cut my pistons?

.030 off should be OK... I would expect mid 430s properly tuned with all bolt ons. Atleast thats what I have seen time and time again..... Ya cant go wrong with either product...

Ron, do not forget to mention the mid 430 cars are through cats and are not hand finished...

If you have a good exhaust, good tuning, the hand finished TEA heads & FMS 228/230 shouldn't have any problems 435-445 rwhp depending on the car IMO.....If you're running through a 10 bolt, 440 should be in the bag

Just did this exact same setup on my car. Fit great. I played it on the safe side and went with at 114+4 with no problems. I am hoping to get about 420 out of my setup through my 12 bolt.

i have slp heads with a comp 228/234 571 lift and i had my heads done by opal eng. they milled mine .035 and had no problem with them. i dynoed at 405 rw but had stock exhaust and the ls1 intake. i'm curious when i get around to a better cat back and an lsx intake ported throttle body and a couple other extras what it we'll be.anyway hope that helps seeya

How do the 224/224 and the 228/230 compare? Idle, driveability, power increase?

You made 410 w/ the stock TB, no pulley, and the 224 cam right? You'll make 430 rwhp tuned through the 12 with all that in place....

BAD, the comparison isn't a comparison IMO. The FMS cam drives, idles and has NO surging unlike my old 224 cam. This is also with my old 224 tune. I haven't had a chance to tinker with my new setup yet. I let for Fla (where I am at now) on vacatoin and haven't had a chance to tinker with.

Damian, That was with the S2 throttle body and yes, no pulley with 24* timing and all the other issues I have, remember??? He says I have more issues with my car then women do in life.
