Default Vacuum pump experts inside....

I have a GZ motorsports kit installed on my stroked Ls2 based motor in my C5, I set it up for about 12 inches and on the high end its pulling down 8 in from 5k to redline...

My problem is.. Its pulling down my oil pressure.. 2-3 psi at idle 5 psi at 2-3k and 10 psi over 5k

Anybody else have this issue?

The fix?

somebody will chime in eventually. just be careful if its pulling oil pressure down that much, you know its pulling it away from the wrist pins, you know what happens next

never break a engine in with a vacuum pump, after a few good pulls hook it up.is there any oil in the catch can?moroso makes a adjustable breather valve for vacuum pumps.like others have stated don't run too much vacuum ,you risk starving parts of oil.

Sorry to steal the thread but is there any major gains from running a vacuum pump on a street engine? I have been thinking about it for awhile and thought I would ask

You probably wouldn't even see a difference on the street imo.

Unless the motor is/was built for using one.

Its common. Vacuum pumps cause a loss in oil pressure.
