Everybody with the 224/224 cam come in here.
I have the 224/224 566/566 114lsa cam with tunneing and am getting alot of surging
I was wondering if you guys have any of this? and if it's normal? if not what did you do about it. It was tuned by Chris Robinson and he said everything is dead on.

Well, I have a 222/222 cam with the same lift you do and I can tell you that I still get some low speed surge. It's the nature of the beast with duration and aftermarket sticks. Tuning can minimize the level of surge, but it can't eliminate it. You'll find yourself clutching a lot more to keep your ride smooth!

Have you contacted Robinson on this? He tuned my car and when I went back to the track after wards I could see it still needed a little tweaking so I mailed him my PCM and he made adjustments so I wouldnt have to drive back up there.

Yeah, let us know at what point your car is surging at. Mine surges a tiny bit when I have to cruise through parking lots if I let the rpms fall too low. But I think you experience that with all if not most cam packages. Other than that she starts, idles and drives just like stock! Except faster!

Mine surges a tad when I first push the clutch in coming to a stop. I've cured most of it by increasing the idle air values.
