Default Need advice on build up

Ok so here I am with about 1700 bucks saved up to sstart my mods, i cant seem to make up my mind were to go. And by the 11700 is all i have ...period. i have been rolling this over in my head for several days now, but cant seem to make up my mind.

heres my options

1. (wifes idea) by my heads and cam, and wait till i have more money to buy 3500 sall and shift kit. then wait to install all of it until i can afford to take it to get it all tuned. (could take a loooong time to complete)

2. Buy my stall convertor, and cam kit, install it and get it tunned and wait for a loooong time to get the heads

3. Buy a stall convertor and a TNT f1 kit and just spray the hell out of it at the track, and save up for a heads and cam package. again, a loooong time to wait.

options 2 and 3 gets me way in the low 12's for this season. But option one keeps the wife happy and guarantes a completed project at one point in my cars life even if it is next years tax return...

What mods do you have right now? That'll help us out.

Also, take the $$ you've saved and put it in a high interest rate money market account so it can accumulate a bit of interest so that when you are ready to purchase you have more than you started with.

converters seems to be the #1 thing Auto guys like

I'm a big one on don't do cam untill you have the money to do it right (head, headers, LS6 intake, etc...the works) as its too much time and money to do it 5 times

I'm not a nitrous person (just not my thing) but if you are looking to get good times at the track, nitrous and a stall ALL THE WAY! You WILL get down the track quick and won't spend a $$$$$$$$$$ out the A____

IMO, the FIRST mod you and EVERY LS1 modder that plans to go into the motor is LS1EDIT. Hands down THE best mod you can do.

Get the converter, a TNT F2 Kit, and LS1Edit. They you will be ready to do your H/C package down the road, and will enjoy 11 second time slips for the mean time.

I like the #2 idea. With a cam and converter you'll run 11's all day long.

i vote for option #2. you will enjoy the hell out of your car with a stall and cam. it won't only be fun at the track with the spray on, it will be fun everytime you get in the car. then you can save up for heads and do them later down the road. with the new afr's coming out and how rapidly the ls1 heads are developing you would be wise to wait and get a better head for cheaper down the road.
