I'm very disappointed with the power my car is making with boltons (328/340). This is with LTs, ORY pipe, cutout and a lid. No free mods yet. I've seen most of you guys making over 400 rwhp with your h/c setups and in some cases with just a cam.How much were you making after all boltons. I'd like to know how much of an increase you saw after your heads/cam install? Would it be possiible, with my low hp figure, to eek 400+ out of this car? I'd like it to be very streetable so .600 lift cams are out of the question.

I think the typical gain in doing H/C (if you allready have all the boltons) is about 80 RWHP. Plus or minus 20 HP depending on the size of the cam.
You have to understand that the results you are seeing are usually from Full bolt-on MN-6 cars with Lid, Ported TB, Pulley, LTs, ORY, Catback/cutout, LS6 or ported LS6 intake, and good tuning....From the looks of things you still could benefit from pulley/s, ported TB, and LS6 intake....This would probaby bring you up 15-20 RWHP from where you are now..

East Side>>>>>>>>
did my buddies car, he had bolt ons and went from 350 to 430 that was with the addition of a 12 bolt with 4:10's wich is said to loose 10-20 rwhp.
his car is verrrryyyyy streetable, he drives it almost everyday.
the cam is mild, and the tune is very safe.
good luck

Dyno's are only there to see what power ur cars making. Taking it to the track can tell a whole different story. I see u trapped at almost 114 mph. That's very good with the bolt on's that u have. I see cars run in the high 11's with that mph. As far as a gain in rwhp with H&C packages. I gained almost 45 rwhp alone with the heads. Good luck.

I would say some affordable Stage 2 heads (Absolute, Patriot, TEA) and a good cam (many choices) will yield 410-430 HP with the headers.
Your car is giving you good times & mph, so it can only get better.

The car has never been on a dyno so I can not give you HP numbers.
At the track I went from a best of 11.77 @ 113.4x (DA ~-1500) to 11.18 @ 120.8x (DA~-920). With equal DA numbers I think the car would have gone 11.0x @ 122.1x.
EDIT - The above times were with a PT4400 converter not the Vig3200 in the sig.

Sorry about the confusion with the sig. Unfortunately, the ls1 didn't run that 113.5, it was my lt1. Hopefully I can have 2 11 second f-bodys...1 day. The ls1 ran 111.1 with the mods listed, I hadn't done any free mods at the time. Even since that time, the only addition mods done have been the removal of the screen in the MAF and the FRA mod. I plan on having the throttle body ported along with the bypass mod and maybe the ls6 intake sometime in the future. I'm trying to get the lt1 back together now so my focus is mainly on that car for the time being. The ls1 has 118k miles so I'm not sure if I am willing to install a h/c setup on this motor...yet

with stock rear, lid, lt's 3iny with cutout i dynoed 344/358 then added a tb. and a pully and few other minor things. with no short belt imguessing stock internals i dynoed about 350/365 or so. someone i know had 7 rwhp less and with a tr224 throught gtp stg. II's 12bolt with 4.10's they saw 440. so im expecting 450rwhp+ with the tr 230/224 111 lsa. not to shabby.

Thanks but the times were with a PT4400 converter. My best with the Vig3200 is 11.3x @ 117.xx. Race weight was around 3420.

You have to go with some sweet heads and a big cam to get 90 hp. It sounds like you want a small cam like mine. My cam was good for 50 to 55 hp. I figure heads would give me another 20 hp. Just cam it and bottle feed it. You'll save money and make over 100 more hp.
