I'll never tell. Clearence with the X3 114 will be .205". .220 is reccomended for a safe clearence. I would imagine the X-3 112 would be in the .180"s. Some do it, but it is way to close on a 112. The 114 should be fine.

I put one on a cam doctor a few weeks ago, but I'm not at liberty to say. Aw, screw it, the #'s aren't patented or anything. Here ya go:

274/282 .694/.683 98 LSA, 22 degrees of advance ground in. But it fits if you remove the entire piston assembly out of the car.

I think it's 234 / 242 with 605 615 lift on a 112 or 114

Cubic inches make cams seem smaller, so yea, it would be more driveable. Personally, if I go 382 "all stroke", I might go a little bigger.

Well i plan to run a larger LSA for other reasons and would like a lot of duration and good lift for Stage 3 LS6 Heads. This is a Cam im considering. Why are its specs hidden, or is this a joke?

Call Lou at LG, speak to him about your wishes/goals, he will set you up with the cam you need, weather it be the G5X3, G5X4 or G5X5 Several people and companies who "design" a camshaft profile choose to "keep it secret". Some agree, and some disagree, but its reality, and a right that they have, IMO.

Well its because if people knew what the specs were and if it wasnt a propritery lobe..then you could just order the cam from Comp, Crane,Lunati...etc and skip the middle man

Holy **** ....That's required clearance? Are you sure you got those #'s right?

.220 includes .080 P to V clearance.

That is using the "piston drop" method. You measure, on a flat surface, how far an intake valve drops before it hits the surface. (Say .160) Then you add gasket thickness (say .060 for stock MLS gasket), add the two together and you have .210 clearance. If, for example your "drop" number was .100 and your gasket was .043, you'd need a .067 flycut to get the same amount of clearance. I'm pretty sure you need .200 on a 114, .220 on a 112, but I'm not positive... [Clearances given are for G5X3 as this is what I've been calulating for ...]

Why would a guy spend hours upon hours testing on the dyno with different combos, only to give up the information to other companies that can't figure it out, and let them make the profit on his hard work. It shouldn't be that hard to understand!! Call LG and order one. Or call another company making a 100 less HP and save $100.00. What do youu think is a better idea? Good luck.

well my hole thinking is, if you know what stock p/v clearance is then anybody can call comp or whoever and figure out how big of a cam you can actually put in it. I can tell you i am i the market to buya cam, and ill be damn if i going to buy the cam and not know the specs, thats retarted. i mean doesnt the cam come with a CAM CARD???????????????so if you dont tell what the specs are now, then they will know when they open the box, right

I will never install a camshaft without a cam card from the manufacturer...I still to this day have never installed a cam without degreeing it...sure i can find out the intake centerline and all by degreeing...but who knows what the centerline is reccomended to be?I think the G5X cams are making awesome power...but without a cam card or atleast a reccomended centerline there wont be one in my car or any of my customers cars..."dot to dot" just doesnt cut it for me especially when clearance is that close...I like all of LG's stuff and I actually reccomend it to people...but i couldn't force myself to install one without a cam card.
