Default Street Package Heads & Cam Recommendations?

Have an M6 and 4.10’s on ’03 C5 LS1 now.

Looking for around 425 RWHP/TQ with torque and hp curves as close to a stroker or big bore or the IC Mag as possible with just H/C/LT's. Will do LT’s, but want to keep cats due to CA smog, and prefer no cutting or welding.

Some cam lope is fine, not a daily driver, but want wife to be able to drive it without stalling or surging in the mall parking lot. Will have professionally tuned, of course.

I had H/C/LT’s before, but a lot has changed in the last two years.

Would appreciate specific recommendations for H/C/LT’s, and any dyno graphs would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Stu

you'll need LT's with just about any decent h/c package and dont see you getting over 400rwhp without them. if you want to pass smog i'd get some stage 2 heads and a tr224 114. if your not concerned with smog i'd go with a stage 2 heads and a tsp231. TSP has some great h/c packages going on, check them out, there a sponsor. you'll need the typical other bolt ons as well, TB, ls6 intake, ect.

and do a search also as there are a ton of h/c package threads out there with more info and dyno's.

We recently did a package with our stage II heads and a 224/224/112 cam. This is what it looked like. Car was a 2002 Firehawk. Very impressive torque curve.

bwahahah 425rwhp without long tubes bwahahaha...its hard enough to get 425 to the wheels period...i noticed youve only had one post here why not do a search and read a bit...there are about 1 million different combos to make 425 to the wheels but ive yet to see 1 that did it on stock manifolds.

TEA 1.5 heads w/hand touch ups
224 XE-R cam on a 114 LSA or a 224 FMS cam on 113-114 LSA
Long tube headers

I don't think you'll get 425rwhp w/o LT's

Not true jpr. 3 years my old MTI Stage II heads/cam setup made 430 rwhp through Mac headers.

MACs are close enough to LT's.

I dyno'd over 400rwhp as soon as I put heads on the car. Through Mac's.

Thanks, that's what I'm looking for.

No prob doing LT's, if I have to.

(And for the guy who welcomed me with my one post, thanks. Am other forum member, came here for different perspective.)

AFR, PP, etc. are new out, so looking to hear about latest from DIYers, like me.

Thanks for the help.
