i want to try to make 400rwh with a cam and some other stuff. do you think i need to do the heads to make that much. it a once and awhile driver might drive it 2 days during the week in summer only. dont care if i loose some driveabiltiy. i would like it to have a noticleable lidle too. i want to use it for track ocasionaly and one and a while to work not every day. i woldent mind a big cam if it gave it a good ildle sound and goo power. its an 01 ta ws6 with ls6 intake. plan to put longtubes and fast intake an tb on it. thanks.

lol....yeaaaah. not happening. for a cam swap you need springs, push rods, and a timing set. at the minimum. lifters, trays, and oil pump are are recommended.

what r u looking for, or should i say why r u so interested in keeping your stock springs? do u just want it to have the i have a CAM sound? ASA/Hotcam an stock ls6's if u want it to have more bark then bite! no spring worries! Please dont try an install without oil pump timing chain pushrods AT LEAST! lifters, and ls2 lifter trays would be a plus an make it even safer!
Did u think changing a cam was as simple as 1,2,3?? the small things are what add up. gaskets, bolts, tools if your doing it yourself! call texas speed, they are very helpful

i will probaly do it wright and buy doublr roller chain and oil pump pushrods springs. it just looks bad to put the air into each cylender with the tool did a tune up on it wasent the easyest thing to do. but i will do it wright and buy all that stuff. im a tech so i dont mid doing the work it doest seem that bad to do. ive only done it on silverados and sierras when the lifter colapes and wipes out the cam. looks alot lighter working area in a trans am. what a respectibe hp to produce with the torqer v3 cam?. can i send my pcm out to be tuned? or i will have to find someone in canada that can tune it. thanks
