how much hp gain would there be with a ported throttle body versus a stock?

It is really just throttle response more than anything but it is a cheap worthwhile mod. I am not even sure it would show up on a dyno...

so instead of actually gaining horsepower it just gets you there faster? so to speak...

yeah you could say that. Its one of those things that helps, but we don't really know where to put it lol. I just went ahead and got an 85MM tb and ported the intake opening to match up

a ls6 intake uses a 3 bolt TB.a fast 92 mm intake uses a 4 bolt TB.check the ws6 store pricing on a 3 bolt TB .

I like my Prof Products 85 MM. that 80 should do ok though to for what you have sounds like a decent price i guess too.

I've always heard 7-9rwhp and lots mention they could definately tell a difference and for some that waited to say they wish they'd have done it sooner
