tsp 231/237 questions
I'm looking to upgrade to the TSP 231/237 cam. I have several questions I'm in hope that can be answered by other A4 users. First, when using larger valve springs do the heads have to be milled for the valve springs to be seated ? Is this just a simple cam/spring swap? What valve springs are recommened over my current 918's ? And last how do you like this cam as a daily driver in a A4(stalled of course)?

jruss, I have the cam in my A4 daily driver.....it is a little fun Tuning wise has been a little different. I started with the Predator, now using Edit and getting better.
Valve springs, I am using CC918's, but would recommend either CC or Cranes stock Dia Dual Spring, safer in event of breakage, and should give more longevity. 918s will work but may float a little at the top, not sure on this one yet as I havent noticed it, but once I swap sorings, the track will tell. Good luck.

Drop in Comp 921's, Rev Duals, Crane Duals, Patriot duals (me thinks).... there's more to select from now compared to a couple years ago.
I'm running 918's (singles) with the TSP231/237 - not the best peace of mind, but they do the job.

jruss, that stall should be a little better than fine. Mine is only a 3,000 and it works fine. I can only imagine your 3800 would feel a little better.
The springs are out there, I cant remember the #s, I look at TR page, it has the stock spring diameter, and then look at dual dia. until I find one that matches. But CC, Crane and PP all have stock Dia duals good for .650 lift.

How do you change spring seats and valve seals? I'm thinking about the 231/237 package from TSP that includes the seats and seals. I might not do the install myself, so I need to know if a shop will charge more to install them.
