Texas Speed is about to get alot of my money
Going to mod the LS1 short block. Want to make as much power on a street car that i can. AFR 225 heads, Custom comp cam, FAST 102/102, 36 lb/hr injectors, Kooks lt headers and catted x pipe. B&B cat back, Monster stage 3, Tick built t-56.
What kind of Power am i going to make? hoping for mid to high 400's

If it was me I would sell the LS6 intake and get a FAST 102 and 90mm TB. I would also look at a Mellings HV oil pump. Also what is your exhaust setup looking like. I would look at 1 7/8 LT if you do not already have them. This is only my recommandation and only if it fits into your budget.
It sounds like you will have a excellent street setup their. I agree that cam is not on the wild side for a 408 but should be a nice daily driver. Good luck in the build and keep us posted.

Yes sir, looks good. I bought my 402 from them originally and when I went back into it and freshened it up I got all the parts from them. I deal with Jon Reynolds, regardless who TSP is the way to go ! ! ! Good luck on the build man.

^^^^Pretty much agree with this and think your present intake system will cost you some power. If you do the FAST I would do a FTP 104mm lid and 100mm MAF if you are not going SD.
I would really consider more cam too. A high 230's cam or even a low 240's cam can be VERY streetable on a 408....

Looks like a good combo. I wouldn't worry about the intake if the FAST is out of your budget. The car will still make good useable power with the LS6 and will give you something to add down the road. Give me a call when you're ready and I'd be happy to discuss your plans and help answer any questions you have about your build. We should have just about everything here on the shelf!

If you don't have headers, I would put them on at the same time. Save a little more cash and get a set of Pacesetters to put on with your new parts. You will get rid of a BIG restriction in doing so. If not, you the bigger cubes won't make the power you are hoping for. I would hate to see you spend all this money and not be happy with the performance.

This assembly is just the start. Eventually will get a FAST 102/102 tony mamo poted, along with kooks long tubes abd b&b cat backs. But for now this will do. Will look into the custom cam grind. Jon, maybe you can chime in there
