Default This is a poll on Yella Terra rockers

I am somewhat concerned over the Yella Terra rockers. I have a pair that have been slightly used but are in excellent shape. My concern stems from a couple of guys having trouble with them breaking. I understand that yella terra will stand behind the parts but I am trying to avoid that all together.
So this thread is intended for the guys that have them on there cars and their response to these 2 questions.

1. Have you ever had any problems out of your Y T rockers ? If so please describe.
2.Would you choose them over any other brands if you had to choose again? If not then what brand would you consider?

I appreciate any and all responses. Rich

no problems from me with about 6-7K on them....

I would not pick them again, however, since I think the Comp Cams set is better and allows each valve to be adjusted....if you ever want to get a solid roller you won't need to buy another set of rockers....

Had mine on the car for 10K miles or so, and no problems, except that the extra weight in the wrong places gave me valvefloat w/ my setup. If your springs are borderline and are working at close to their max lift, don't get these rockers!

Other than that I love em.

I am one of the two people that I know of that have broken one. I emailed YT, and they are replacing it for free. I love the rockers. Considering that there have only been two that have broken, there is not another set that I know of (including stock) that you can just bolt on and forget about.

I have them and I am happy with them. I heard about stock rockers flexing and even breaking with certain setups so I got them for security. I have had no problems at all with mine. I am running Patriot S2 LS6 style heads, Comp XER cam and I think they mate up well together. No complaints.

I would buy them again.

No problems here. It seems the valvetrain is a tad bit quieter with the addition of YT's also.

I had no problems with them and my 918 springs, they did quiet down the valvetrain alot. I am gonna be using the comp 978 though so I hope they dont float like the 987's.

?????QUESTION??????
Other than quieting down the valvetrain, did anyone see extra HP/TQ with these?

I had trouble with valve float using the Yella Terra's, beehive springs and heavier valves. With the double springs there didn't seem to be a problem. In my case the Yella Terra's didn't quiet the valve train at all, but they sure do look much stronger than stock!

Question for the two guys who had them break. Are they the new ultralight design? What broke? What is your setup?

I don't think the ultralights were even thought of over four years ago when this was originally posted!

I lost a hardened pushrod cup in one of my YT Ultralight rockers. Totally ruined the rocker, but Yella Terra warrantied it no problem. Only problem I ever had with them.
