Default Tutorial on removing and replacing the ignition coils on 99 TA

Like the title states, looking for a how to on replacing the ignition coils on a 99 TA.. is it a one at a time removal process? or are they attached to a railing/bracket of sort and remove together?

Any obstacles to be aware of before starting?

If you have centerbolt valve covers then they are all bolted to a coil bracket that is held on by 4or5 bolts,,unplug the main coil connector plug, remove the spark plug wires, then the coil bracket,,,,the ones in the back are a pain. once you get the bracket off, you can get the coils individually very easy. If you have the perimeter valve covers then the coils bolt directly to the valve covers.

Just taking a look at it this weekend it looked like it should be easy with the exception of the ones in the back.. but wanted to make sure before i attempt to tackle the job that im prepared for anything i may need or time needed to complete..

thanks..
so once all the cabling is removed, the 4 or 5 bolts will release the coil bracket and they all come out as a set?
thanks..

FYI, you'll want a ratchet wrench/flex-head gear wrench for the rear passenger side coil bracket to valve cover bolt; it's a 10mm. IMO, when you reinstall the coil mount bracket, just leave out that rear bolt.

Unbolt the air tube from the manifold and move it out of the way.

Find someone with small hands, and keep working at it. Eventually it will click off the plug. Don't pull on the wire though...they will break and separate from the boot.
