Default Ls9 cam in 5.3/4.8 stock heads pushrod length?

Just installed an ls9 cam into my 4.8 and I was wondering if anyone has done this with their 4.8/5.3 with stock heads and if so, what length pushrods did you use?

Thanks

I'm eager for the LSxperts to chime in, as I think you have an issue with the cam position sensor. The LS9 is a gen 4, and you're posting in the gen 3 section.
I'm also wondering about the whole timing set / attachment-to-cam situation.
That's a really large cam for a little 4.8, even if you are adding boost. I'm guessing you got the cam really cheap, as a take out from a ZR1 guy who was upgrading?
Otherwise, the same money coulda got you something better.

Isolde- actually I posted in the right section because this is a specific question about this cam going into a gen iii engine. And regarding the cam sensor, I am aware that I need the ls2 timing cover, sensor, socket and to extend my cam sensor wire. These parts are ordered and on their way. Also, from what I've read this can is great with boosted engines. It really isn't that big honestly. And I got the cam for 55 bucks and everything I need for the swap including the cam came to 150 bucks. So I think I got a great deal for actually a really good turbo/blower cam

I just wasn't clear about the cam sensor, it's cool that you got it sorted.
LS9 cam is 211 / 230, on a 121 sep, right? 211 sounds small, but with that 230 exhaust and that 121 sep, your exh opening point, and your intake closing point, are closer to maybe a 234 / 234-112. I would bet it feels dead below 2500, and no better than stock until 3500? But if you're gonna use a 4400 stall and a 3.73 gear, then maybe that won't matter? I will be curious for your report about your first drive after dyno-tyning.

I agree, an ls3 would have been a better "GM" cam choice imo for a 4.8l. Of course the fact that the ls9 cam can be had new for ~$150 is tempting to try though.

For a turbo setup? Never heard of that before. Ive heard the ls9 cam would be perfect. And I haven't really seen any results so I figured why not give it a shot? I'm gonna have a 3800 stall

or an 02-04 z06 cam so you don't have to mess with the sensor differences. How high so you plan on revving it?

Yeah it was actually between the z06 cam and ls9 cam... And I'm not really sure. I don't want to overdo the engine
