Default TR230 Driveability in a m6?

i was wondering how the driveability of the tr230 (230/224) reverse split cam will be in a m6 with 3:42's? Its a daily driver, so i wanted to make sure this cam would be suitable for that. This cam is suppose to be torquey and fairly mild since its a reverse split. i was also wondering about where it peaks? hopefully i can keep the shift point around 6300.

please feel free to correct anything im wrong on. lol

Thanks for the link. That was exactly what i was looking for. Believe it or not i did use the search, but that was not a thread i saw.

Seems like this is the perfect street cam for me. Torque down low, power up high, and i nice mean idle.

I can lug mine at 40mph in 6th w/4.11 gears no problem. It's a very tame cam driveability wise that becomes a beast with a touch of the pedal.

It will be fine, but consider a 4.10 later down the road. They really make M6s a blast to drive.

My cam is a reverse split and close to the TR230. Its a 230/227 and it drives very smooth. Very civil, drives great. It does pull pretty hard. No regrets with it.

Mine is a copy of that with some extra advance ground in.

Peaks at around 6k with best ET/MPH with shift points set to 6300-6400rpm.

I like mine, but wish I had gone a little more aggressive. I would recommend you do a search for a grind called "El Torro".

It's a custom spec reverse split by a member here, Predator Z which is a more modern take on the tr230 type grind.

Not to steer you away from a reverse split, but have you considered something along the lines of 224 228 on a 110lsa ground straight up or retarded 1 degree? This cam will make power every where and will drive perfect. I say this because you are looking to buy a ls6 intake, which will make you a bit less intake restricted meaning a forward split cam will be a better option for you.

I actually bought a ls6 intake already, I guess I need to update my sig.lol
I have already got this cam, it was too good of a deal to pass up. I did some searching before buying it and read nothing but good things about it. I just never found anything on how will it drives. Seems like everyone that has it really likes it.
I figured since I'm still running my stock 853 heads it would be a good option that makes good down low power and has a good idle. I was actually looking at a 226/226 cam with much higher lift, but didn't think I would be giving up too much going with this cam instead. If anything at all.

the tr 230 is a good cam you did good on getting it. No you won't be giving up much and will drive great with a decent tuner. You will enjoy the cam even with the 853 heads. Do heads before even thinking about swapping out the tr 230. the reason i suggested the cam i did was because i did not know you already had the tr230.

Yea I guess I should have mentioned that. My bad. I did have that custom 226 specd for me and it was on a 111lsa as well. This cam seems to have pretty much the same characteristics as the custom cam just at a much better price.lol

Its good to see that everyone that has this cam likes it though. Its hard to find a cam that everyone who owns it likes it. So it seems anyway.
