Default which spring for t3?

Hey everyone,

i am buying a tsp torquer 3 and was wondering which springs to get when i purchase the heads. Will .650 be sufficient or is it a better idea to get the .675? these will be on a 1.8 YT rocker

I would not recommend running that cam with a 1.8 rocker. You will have a .680 intake lift which is not needed and it would be kind of tough to find a spring for it. I would run the stock 1.7 rocker ratio with either .650 or .675 spring.

unfortunately I already have the 1.8s.. they were a present from my gf cuz she did research and people said they were the best so she bought em.. any cams you would recommend for a 1.8 rocker? I am looking to buy prc heads so it will either be the prc .650 or .675 springs

id ditch those rockers.....and that cam has a .643" lift and for me a .650" spring is too close, id run the .675". Im buyin that same cam, just use the springs that come in the tsp kit..

buy the torquer V2 cam if you are doing heads. the intake/exhaust duration split on the V3 is a little wide for worked heads IMO and the V2 will be fine with a .650 spring and the 1.8's

Sell those rockers and and open up your cam choices. The GF will never know once they are under the valve covers....

1.8 rockers are a pointless mod unless you want a little more umph out of a stock cam. Otherwise, they don't belong on a cam or heads/cam engine IMO.

Have your gf return the 1.8 rockers and get some 1.7 rockers....they are not good on cams with high lift and agressive lobes..they are a good upgrade on a very mild cam or a stock cam outside of that they are worthless and will probably cause you a major headache....

Use a cam with XE lobes or similar.
