Default picked up some 243 heads for free wheres a good place in texas to port em?

A really good friend of mine gave me his heads off of his 07 tbss was planing on getting them ported before I put them on. Is there a place in Texas that can port these things and put down some good numbers?

Also what are some good head gaskets to pump on the C/R?

I plan on getting ARP head bolts, ls6 valley cover, catch can, upgrade the valve springs, after market cam (haven't deiced on one yet), Ls7 lifters.

Is there any thing I am missing while she is under the knife?

Thanks, Bo

We can set you up with CNC porting and more to wake them up very nicely!

the only other place i would have them done is wcch (west coast cylinder heads) they are by far the best but pricey

The cometic .040 gaskets should put you at just over 11:1 compression with the stock 243 chambers.

OP i'm assuming you have ls2 solid valves? try picking up a set of ls6 valves. they are def worth the hassle to find IMO. shoot me a pm if you can't find a set.

btw i would probly do something like an EPS 226/230, 230/234. or maybe a TSP torquer v2.

and if you want the scoop on head porters in texas hit the regional section and ask for some PM's

Really? I might do that for now didnt realize it cost so much to get these things ported. I might just run stock 243 heads for a bit then buy after market ones later.

Yes I was wondering if the ls6 valves where that much better Ill be on the look out for some.

I was going to start in the texas section but I wanted to see what ppl thought of porters out side of texas as well.

In Texas Greg Good in Houston or Lloyd Elliot in Red Oak (south of Dallas) come to mind.
