Default Stock lifters with cam swap?

Im doing a cam swap on my car next week just wondering if my stock 96,000 mile lifters will be fine to use? Setup is EPS cam kit 226/234 113 lsa .598 .601 TEA dual gold .660 springs Trick flow hardened 7.425 pushrods

Yes, they should be fine to use. However, it would be a good idea to change them while you're in there.

I just went through heads and cam swap this weeked. I wouldnt have felt right if i didnt change them for 120$ or whatever it was

Only doing cam so if I dont have to change them I would rather not pull the heads.

The first cam I had was a trex, and as soon as we buttoned everything up I heard the dreaded ticking sound. Long story short, we had to pull the heads and replace the lifters. Not to say it will happen to you, but you never know. Good luck

Guess I'll try them out and see how they work. I hear the eps lobes are easy on the valvetrain. If I have to pull heads they will get ported by AI

Why would you want to take a shortcut to save $120 when they have that many miles on them? Just replace them while you are their to guarantee there won't be a problem.

I say run the stock lifters until you got the coin for some better heads. Or find a set of 243's get them cleaned up and do it all at once, wich would probably be the best option!

I ran 150K mile lifter in my lt1 car without a problem 96K should be fine I hope.

146k heads / cam stock lifters here. knock on wood....

400 dollar cam on 96,000 mile lifters. Smooth surface(new) not so smooth surface. A lifter can fail at anytime. At least with new your odds are more in your favor.
