Default best cam for 241 heads

I have a 04 gto ls1 / 4l60e in a 240 SX. Fixing too do trans and stall. I currently have long tubes, ported throttle body, 2.5 dual exhaust, no cats, xpipe, dual magnaflows 14816, diablo tune and ram air. What spec cam will work great with my setup. THANKS RANDALL I should add its a street car with 3.54 rear.

How much converter are you putting in it? How aggressive do you want the car to be and what are you planning on doing with it? Let us know and we can get you setup with something to get you where you want to be!

Yeah we can get you a cam package with single beehive springs or a dual springkit. The kit with single springs start at $599 and the package with the dual springkit starts at $699.99.

Around 3000 stall, more of a daily build with an occasionall drag and autocross. I'd like too have an increase acrosss the range not just on top Thanks.

I think I would look at something like a 228R cam. That cam will make good power across the board, have a noticeable idle, but still drive really well. I would think that camshaft would be an all-round good cam that would be good on the dragstrip as well as in the corners. If you are looking to go a little more aggressive, I would take a look at a TQ3 cam. It will make a little better midrange and top end and have a more aggressive idle as well. Let me know what you think!

In most cases if they are the same package we will pricematch. You're welcome to PM me a link.

Don't be afraid of a high stall converter....I started with a 2,800, then went up to a 3,800, now run a 4,000.....I daily drive mine with no complaints...so Il recommend a 3,600-3,800 stall for you

The cars weight under 3100, the rear end is a r200 from a infinity q45 with the larger axels 1 from a q45 / 1 from a twin turbo 300zx. I dont know of anyone having problems with this setup even running slicks.

What kind of rpm does it take to get rolling with a higher stall

Only alitttle over stock...with a bigger cam you will more than likely raise your idle speed, you it will start to pull away from a stop light just coming off your new higher idle.

It almost feels like the tranny is slipping. Where you'll notice the biggest difference is when you really tromp on it

I will launch a lot harder off the line, but your nittos should help...if you end up with traction problems you can go to a softer shock
