Default average pricefor a 6.0 ls2 block

whats the average price rangefor a bare block that will need honing? also i wanna throw one in my 98 z28.......how easy will the swap be? are allmounts the same? these are 4 inch bores right? are they essentially just a 4 inch bore ls1?

The motor mounts are the same but you will need to use the LS2 valley cover, timing cover w/ cam sensor, cam sprocket(05-06 GTO original part), cam and knock sensor extension harnesses, and will need to drill and tap the block to move the knock sensors to the side of the block. You can get all of this stuff in one package(LS2 conversion package) from SDPC or TSP.

I can't tell you what the going rate for a used block is but I believe you can get a new one for around 1200 bucks.

Because the LS2 block doesn't have a spot to mount them in the valley.

If you drive on the street and run pump gas I would recommend keeping them.

Lol but back in the 70s those cars didnt have any and some of them made it 100000 lol

Back in the 70's the engines had 8.5:1 compression, 150 horsepower, and real gas. For a race only application running a quality race fuel, which is way more consistent than what you get from the pump, the knock sensors can be deleted.

Gotta love that lead lol.....is lead good for a motor? As long as u have the proper valvetrain for it?
