MTI does a LOT of local heads/cam stuff, but not a lot of it is posted. I can assure you'll be getting some of the highest quality in the business though. A buddy of mine runs MTI 5.3's, makes 430 rwhp through a 12 bolt/4:11's w/ a small 224 cam....

No prob, you'll be happy with the setup. MTI has some of the best porters in the business, each set of hands include 40 man hrs of porting per set. MTI

I run there S2 heads with X1 cam. I love it! I have A4 and she is tuned for spray-rich and alittle timing pulled and I still pulled good numbers. As you can see I have 12-bolt and all. Car runs strong, A/C, power everything. I drive this car everyday with no problems. You just got to tune it with the X1-big cam!!!Check Sig!

I have a set of MTI 5.7 heads and used to have a 224/228 cam and the car ran consistant 11.4s at full weight. I now have the g5x2 cam and the rest of the bolt ons so im shooting for a 10.X since the car is also lighter now.

You'd be in very good company if you choose the MTI 5.3 heads. I should know I used to have a set along with the C1 cam (222/222 on 112), in my 3,520 lb Z28 and ran 120 mph trap speeds, my ET was an 11.9 on drag radials with the 7.5 rear end. My old heads/cam combo. is now on the fastest stock bottom end LS1 in the country. Mike P. at MTI has run a 9.69 @ 135 mph with a 250 shot using my old stuff.

Any dyno numbers with the 5.7's and the G5X-2? I have the same cam and am looking for the right heads.
Thanks

The price isn't bad on those 5.3L MTI heads either, they are offering them for only $1795 without core charge right now. Thats cheap for a badass set of hand-ported heads with top of the line components. Then when you get them you can sell your stock LS1 heads for $200-300 and end up with a $1500 set of Stage 2 heads

That sounds like a pretty good deal. I have been leaning toward the 5.3 heads. Maybe I should go do my taxes.

The car put down 398rwhp with a closed exhaust setup. It should dyno higher since the motor was also hurt and im missing some bolt ons.

That Price is what has me for it Tony When I told Jayson I wasnt going Bigger cubes for a few years,He said on Stock low end,I would be just as well off with the 5.3's as I would be with the LS6'sHe said save your money and put it where I will really need it such as Nos,Suspension ect...Then I started thinking about it,selling my existing heads with new comp 918 springs and adding other things I want To MTI
