4.8 with ms3 or????
I wanted to know if I would run into problems if I were to put a ms3 cam in a 4.8 with stock heads or what off the self cam is the biggest I can run looking for a all track car will be going into a 95 camaro thanks

look at comp LSr cams for the 4.8-5.3 i dont think they require flycutting but they're also some all out performer cams...

you want a cam that will work best with your gears and tranny combo.fill out a cam request at compcams ,and you will under stand ever thing involved in picking the best cam.a small cam is funner then over caming a engine.the 54-455-11 cam mite be a safe cam.

we put a xer273hr in a 5.3 224/230 .581/.592 114lsa and it was on the verge of too big lol.. the heads are where you are gonna make your power not a huge camshaft.. a 6.0l is a better start for all motor.. i guess you could spray the hell out of that 4.8 tho haha.. maybe build a turbo for it..

WAY too big for a 4.8L in a Camaro! I'd be focusing on the high-teens or low-220's intake duration (depending on bolt-ons, converter, etc)!

^^I'd agree and add along with more compression more cubic inches...even with 11:1 static compression, a high 230's intake duration camshaft is too big with 4.8L of displacement in about a 3500lb car.
