Do I have the wrong head gaskets on my LQ4 with LS3 heads?
For some ungodly reason I put 12589227 (ls2) gaskets on my LQ4 with LS3 heads. From what I understand these are the 4.039 headgaskets. The LS3 has a combustion chamber width of 4.080. The LS3 gaskets are 4.094, (Part no 12610046). This will result in an exposed fire ring.
Car will be a daily driver with 222/230 cam. Am I totally screwed with this setup? Do I have to get swap out the gaskets, or can I run with them?

It really doesn't matter what the bore is-OP states his LS3 heads combustion chamber is 4.08 so his head gasket should also be 4.08 or larger.I think he knows his smaller gasket edge is exposed and like allready stated this isn't good.He wants to know what will happen if he runs it like that.I don't actually know -just that you shouldn't do it but also know that other people on here have used smaller gaskets than their heads chamber requeired and they are running them so ?.
