Try unplugging the mass air flow sensor and driving. This will flag a check engine light FYI. Other than that, you should really have it checked out. Do you know anyone with a diagnostic scan tool?

That smell is from the cat converters, like I said earlier they are clogged.

if the cats are clogged or you think they are, you can pull the o2 sensors pre cat or loosing the y-pipe to create a exhuast leak before the cats take it for a quick test drive, if it pulls harder(becuase the car can breath now) then the cats are clogged.

Did you just feel this or has it been happening? A4's tend to pull little harder down low when power braking and running it. But m6 will pull better up top. What RPM are you launching at?

Well, you're still restricted by the cats and the small *** O2 holes provide just a little relief. You noticed the difference though, so like 82cetuner said, you found the problem.

We had the same problem with my old mans Dodge Ram. We gutted the cats and it was perfect. Good luck bro, let us know how it turns out.
