Default Head and Cam Deal**

So I see everyone on here discussing which heads to buy and 243's are best bang for the buck. But i never see anyone talk about Edelbrock. My girlfriend's dad is partner companies with Edelbrock, and he can get great deals on their products (something like half off the price maybe 30-40% off but I'll ask). Anyways, do you guys have input on this? Any is appreciated!

The only thing I know about those heads is TSP buys them and ports them and calls them Terminator heads. Other then that i never see anyone running them.

I think the reason nobody runs them is they tend to be a little more pricy than other heads and don't perform as well.

Actually I think they are pretty cheap.....in a relative sense. I could be wrong though.

Hmm I'll have to look more into it. Cuz if I can get a great deal on them with good gains, then why not? I'd like to see some hp dyno numbers with them.

TSP no longer ports them. But I think they sell untouched Edelbrock heads. I will be putting the Terminator heads on my new short block this weekend I hope they perform well. We’ll see…

What made you choose the Terminators? Just curious. Such as price? Hp rating?

Local guy was selling with a fast 90 combo and we made a good deal. I was just going to get the intake but we came to an agreement for the heads also. I know they are not AFRs but I've seen a few cars run very well with them so I picked them up.

Edelbrock charges extra for their name. But for 50% off I would run them lol! You can always get them worked over in the future also

If you can get a good deal, then hey do it! My only thing is: I don't think I will get a camshaft because it's my daily driver. Great hp but it changes the whole car. Such as the sound, street manners, and it's more money!! lol

Not if you get a proper cam. It doesn't have to ruin the streetability.

Do you mean like a 224 cam? I've heard anything under a 228 is pretty streetable. I'd like to learn about some more mild cams. Just curious if anybody has opinions...what companies, links, ect. I'm planning to get some 243 heads soon and just wondering if i should do the cam while I'm at it. All i have is an SLP lid so far.
