Default Katech rod bolts socket size?

I just received my Katech rod bolts, but my tools are 2 hours away under the car awaiting install. These rod bolts are much smaller than I was expecting, and have a interesting star shaped top. Do I need a special socket? What size?

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure they are just like the ARPs and are 3/8 12 point.

That's a 12 point head. Looks like this, right?

That is pretty basic stuff right there, you sure you know what you're doing?

A 10mm/12pt will work, too. There's a wee bit of slack.

I would never suggest to anyone You don't hate to use a 10mm/12 point socket on ARP's or Katech's 3/8"/12 point headed bolts as they will strip the 12 point head ,,,,,,,,,will it happen every bolt ,,,,,,probably not ,,,,,,,,will it happen ? yes if torqued correctly . There was a thread a while back in this section/forum of somebody that did exactly that . Use a good quality 3/8"/ 12 point socket and have no worries if it's right or will it come apart when taking it apart ,,,,,,,,,,blah blah

Chris, I'm glad you brought this up.
I have a set of both bolts, as well as the stockers.
I can't use a 3/8 on the Katechs (2nd post)...3/8 won't fit, it's too small (12 pt). As the Katech man says, 11 mm (12 pt)...which I agree with.
The 3/8 (12 pt) will fit the ARPs with ever so slight room. However, an 11mm (12 pt) will not fit the ARPs.
As an alternative to the 3/8 12 pt ARP, I tried a 10mm 12 pt, and it fit almost the same...there's no way the 10mm will strip the ARP.
Now, here's where the trouble may be...I have another set of Craftsman 12 pts, and I took out the 10mm 12pt. THIS 10mm has more room inside the 12 pt ribs. Anyone would think that a 10mm is a 10mm, no matter what set it is from. But, not in this case.
