New Build Questions 6.0 into 427?
Looking into getting a 6.0 iron block off texas speed... http://www.texas-speed.com/p-573-gm-...ron-block.aspx and was wanting to make it into a 427 stroker with this kit... http://www.texas-speed.com/p-1018-ts...-assembly.aspx would that work? And if so what would I have to have the block bored to for this setup to work? Thanks

Just beware that this kit uses a 4.100 stroke and a 6.125" rod and that is a 1.49 rod ratio and that is as bad as it gets for wear on the cyl walls, piston drag and early on oil consumption, just sayin. 4.00"stroke kits with 6.125 rods have a 1.53 rod ratio and are much better off for longevity.

I can tell you I love my 408 and have no problem spinning it to 8,000 rpms, the only reason is go bigger would be if the bores were bad enough to NEED taken beyond 4.030" and once you go over a 4.00" stroke you need to start grinding in the block to make room....good option for an all out race car, but not recomended for a street car

Well there's always an exception if you want to go to extremes. How long will his "7600" motor live in a DD? Sub 1.50 rod ratio has the connecting as sideways (right angle to the bore) as it could be, just saying
