Default Buy Set of 243's with Dropped Valve Damage?

I found a set of 243 heads locally that have the hollow / sodium filled valves for $350 for just the heads - no springs/retainers/etc. The problem is one of the valves dropped and there is some slight damage to the combustion chamber.

Anyone ever buy a similar set of heads? How did it turn out?

Good price or should I try for $250 because of the risk of a crack? They come with new hollow / sodium exhaust and intake valves for the bad cylinder.

For $400-$450 you can get a complete set of 243s with no damage.

Unless you can test the chamber for leaks/compression then I would not bother even for $250 especially given that you have to get all new springs/retainers etc. also.

I'd look for another set.

Don't waste your money on damaged heads. Even $250 is not worth it! Heck you don't even get the springs?? Hell NO!

HELL NO!!! That's a lot of money for something that could be trash. I'd shoot for $150, you may have 300 in fixing them. Like stated above you can get a nice used set complete for $400-500 shipped. Gel I have a set of 243 heads with the light weight valves I'm selling for $650. They are low mileage and are in great shape.

Just FYI if they come with a complete set of hollow/sodium valves that would be $250 pretty easy by itself
