Anyone running a 224/224 112lsa cam still with or without heads?
I have a 224/224 112lsa cam and Livernois Motorsports stage 2 LS6's in my 98 z28 M6 along with all the bolt ons except a crank pulley. The car was tuned by a sponsor here but had a problem during tuning. The problem was corrected but i assume the car never went back. The car put down 379hp on a mustang dyno. During cold starts or even fresh starts I have to let the car warm up a little or it will want to stall. I say this shouldn't be happening with such a small cam especially since i owned 2 other lsx vehicles with bigger cams. Anyway anyone still run a cam this small alone or with heads? I'd appreciate seeing your numbers. thanks

I am running a 224R on 112 with stock 241 heads and have no driveability issues. I do however let the car warm up before driving, if I don't I notice some idle surge with the clutch in and slowing down. When I let the car warm up I have no surge at all, I attribute this to the O2's not being warmed up. My car put down 366/367 through an LS7 clutch and aftermarket ZR1's, it is by no means a dyno queen. I have taken it to the track a few times on hard street tires and with an average 60 ft of 2.6X (horrible) the car traps 113-114mph consistantly. I hope this helps some, take it to the track and see what it can do dyno numbers don't mean a whole lot.

CJ don't forget that was a Mustang Dyno that those #'s are from. On a Dynojet it should read more. Also, I think the Livernois heads are meant for a little bigger cam and should shine once you throw that new stick in there. Keep us posted!
