Default Pick-up tube Bolt

Does anyone have a trick to ensure this bolt stays put? I tried to call STAGE 8 locking fasteners with no luck....They suck!!

I can loctite it, but with just a tiny bolt holding such a crucial part, I want some security.

All it really does is hold the pickup tube in the pump. It doesn't have to support the weight of the tube PR anything like that. I just tightened the few I've done by hand, and didn't think twice about it.

Well....I installed it....I always feel aw worried with these kind of things. That bolt is pretty small and does an important job. I put some red loctite on it, used my torque wrench on the lowest setting (5 ftlbs) to make sure it was at least that...

Just torque it to the spec listed...then engineering has already been done for you...

You'll be fine. What I did when I put my new pump in was filled it with oil and lubed the o ring so it slid right in. When you go to start the car up pull the fuel pump fuse so you can prime the motor and check for oil pressure.

BRP makes this little two-bolt bracket if you are really that worried about it.

Just think there are millions of pickups running around with one bolt in them, it will be fine.
