Well...I think I've got a bigger problem.
So a few weeks back I thought I collapsed a lifter at the track. Got a bad tick on my last run and loaded it up on the trailer. Well I got the top end all tore down and new parts ordered and started looking at everything and testing lifters. I can not budge any of them by hand, and I mean I'm laying all my weight on them. If I had a bad lifter wouldn't it have moved under the pressure? Here is a video of when the tick started. If you listen really close its very faint just before the burnout, but after I stall it it's really noticeable. What do you think, bearing?

My johnsons have friggin mega springs in them and the short travel comps were also quite difficult to get any movement by hand...could be because my wrists/hands are bad.
Would seem unlikely that anything could kill all 16 lifters in short order, might wanna cut that oil filter open though.

Push rods were good. I couldn't see any damageto the rocker bearings, but maybe. I think I'm going to pull the motor and check anyways.
I wasn't able tom move any of the lifters. If I understand it right, that means the lifters are good, but IDK.

And boom goes the dynomite.
As soon as I busted the bolt lose on #5 I knew that one was the culprit. Looks like the rod bolts weakened allowing the bearing to spin, then the heat built up on that journal and caused #6 to spin as well. Can't find my deep 15mm (story of my life) so I couldn't get the crank out tonight to inspect well, but it looks like it's salvageable.
