Aboslute Speed 5.3L stg 2 vs 2.5
Well i ordered A/S stg 2.5's 5.3L heads and i have not seen many cars with this head so i was wondering how much additional power i will gain from the stg 2.5's over the stg 2's BTW it's been 2 weeks and i am dying to get these heads The LSX came and it's just sitting waiting

I have a set of 2.5s sitting here, they are very nice, and flow like most S2 LS6 heads or better. Mine flowed 316+. As far as HP over a S2, who kows, I just wanted to have the best head I could, that turned out to be the AS 2.5 5.3 IMO. What cam are you going with, the 231/237 or something else? Enjoy them, Shawn

i already have a 231/237 cam Your reason for the stg 2.5's is the exact thoughts i had when deciding on whether to spend the extra cash or not! BTW when did you get your heads? cause I feel like a junky waiting for my fix

Jfm has what used to be the 2.75 5.3`s and are now called the 2.5`s
They make great power. My friend has a set going on hopefuly this weekend with a T-rex. So hopefully he will have it tuned within the next couple weeks and you can see what they can do.
Your car should be a killer with the h/c/intake. Your just gonna need some better tires .

destroyerss you made the right decision. im sure Jay will have your heads out real soon. the 2.5's take a little bit longer then the stage 2's. theres alot more work that goes into the 2.5's While the cars apart why not throw a new T-rex cam in it. haha

I didn't think you could run the t-rex with these heads. I'm kinda suprised at the amount of people running this cam cause i spoke to a couple of guys at thunder and they said that this cam should'nt be used on the street. The quest for power is a wonderful thing but i'm gonna stick with my baby 231/237 cam and hope for high 400's rwhp and 415+ rwtq {wonder how many passes i'll get with the o'l 10 bolt berfore it }Thanks Shawn

It will be nice to see all of the A/S heads that are shipping out soon to cars with big cam's and we can stop this low 400 hp H/C stuff that we have been reading about BTW i just jinxed myself

Not really. I sold my pp heads because i was going to a stage 3 setup but my money situation went to ****. So i just bought another set of heads instead. Loved the patriots though. Had no issues with them and put down 435hp. This is my third set of different heads. Like to try different things.
