Default Friends h/c swap...

well my friend has a 01 trans am and he has finally decided to pull the trigger on a h/c swap.... going with stock 243's milled .020, bt racing pushrods and stock rocker friendly spring kit ( highly recommend them to anyone), ls7 lifters, ls2 chain and a 231/238 .617/.585 112+3 camshaft.... pics of the car and some parts.. 243 pic is of of a different set i sold but they looked almost identically clean..

Seems like a lot of trouble to be bolting on a set of stock 243's...have him send them out for porting first.

I'm doing a similar project with a torquer v3 cam...is he planning on using 7.400 rods and the stock spec head gaskets?

No before results... Car still has the srock tune going to the h/c swap... And yes doing 7.400 pushrods and stock gaskets.. Car already has ls6 intake, coated 1 3/4 longtubes, y pipe and borla catback.. 6 speed car so it should hopefully make around 400-410 and more with a fast intake later down the road
