You can buy a set of 1.8 ratio instead of the stock 1.7 ratio rockers. However alot of aftermarket cams are compatable with the 1.8s because of the way they were designed, what kind of lobe profile they use. So before you waste your money call TSP and ask them since the TV2 is their grind.

The 1.8 ratio will get a lil bit more lift out of the cam. However, I would still run the stock rockers with the trunion upgrade if anything and call it good. Just my 2 pennies...

what would that do with trunion upgrade compared to the 1.8 ?

bigger lift cam means what?

more Horsepower?

valvetrain weight ?

The stock rockers with the trunnion(fulcrum bearing) upgrade from Comp are likely your best bet. The stock rockers are light and cheap. Aftermarket is heavier, expansive and in some cases less reliable than new bearings in the stockers. There are cases where aftermarket rockers make sense, a basic cam only setup really isn't one of them.

You sound like you are just blindly assuming rockers need to be upgraded because it is common on other engines.

Stock rockers with trunion upgrade.

The only reason to change rockers os with aftermarket heads using bronze valve guides which will require roller rockers OR your lift is more than .630 that is the point where stock rockers start to lose proper geometry and swipe.

The trunion rebuild is the least expensive... And best bang for the buck. I did it with a pretty big cam and have had no issues. I did upgrade the push rods and heads.

In my opinion your best bet would be to just simply install the Comp trunion kit into your stock rockers.

Some will say roller rockers will free up more horsepower because of the true roller bearings...meh. The added weight is never any good. Valvetrain weight is the enemy.

On a stock car with a cam, stock rockers with the Comp Trunion upgrade is really the only option.

I got the harpland sharps you have to grind on your head or you rocker or they will slightly rub but Idk if I felt a hp gain because I added a few parts with the rockers
