Stock Rockers with 144k miles and Comp Trunion Upgrade?
Would it make sense to install the Comp Trunion upgrade into a set of stock rockers that are at 144k miles?
Or would it be smart to buy a new set of rockers and install the trunion upgrades into them? Looks like I can get a set for $170 from gmpartsdirect shipped. Ugh.

I agree 100%. The rockers you have now should be perfectly fine to do the trunnion upgrade on.

Rockers major wear point is the valve tip. I would buy the new rockers at 144K, but at least look at the tip for damage before putting money in them. My PU had 107,000 when I looked them over, 3 were visibly worn at the tip so I replaced the set.
