Default How much spray safely?

Hey plan on hooking up 175 direct port nitrous. I'm sure there will be a lot of different opinions. I'm happy to hear all of them. What do you think I can run safely through my motor?

Roughly 8k on motor
LS1 stock crank. Forged pistons and arp bolted rods.
Lunatti cam, tsp stage 2 heads?? , fast90, 90mm tb. 11.1 compression.

Thanks in advance!!!

houston vette guys spray 250 shots through plates and DP's every weekend on stock bottom ends with heads and cam.

Carter01 has been pushing 250-300 shots through a nitrous outlet plate on stock bottom end, stock rails, and stock 28 lb injectors.

Its all in the tune and proper plugs; Since you're direct port, there is alot of piece of mind in that. Personally, if it were me, grab yourself a wideband and a stand alone fuel system for that added insurance.

Car has 42# injectors and 255 pump with hot wire kit. The nitrous kit will be running 1 gallon fuel cell in engine bay with a holley blue pump filled with race gas.

I say spray 200, you should be happy with that. With the race gas you should be safe up to 250, just make sure your tuner has you spot on and your motor is broken in properly.. keyword properly.

Br8ef ngk plugs are what I would pick up for that setup, you're on the right path, let us know how it goes and have fun!

I just want to clarify that the regular tank will have 93 pump and the 1 gallon fuel cell will have race gas. Still safe at 200? I think car currently has br6ef. Also, I have Harris nitrous control box. I was told if I spray with the race gas in the cell I won't need the box anymore to pull timing. Your thoughts? Thanks for the info so far

With a 200, I wouldn't run a br7ef with anything over a 175shot, but I know alot who have done it. Since we're talking about running safely, on 200 shot, I would run a br8ef @ .32 gap or so. Yeah its a pain in the *** to change out, but protect your investment with the proper plug and its only 20$ and a hour of your time to change out.

My advice, your tuner SHOULD check the plugs, not the wideband, after each data log when he is tuning your car, and he'll adjust the timing as necessary from your box. The wideband will never be as accurate as plug checking; Nitro dave told me, you can stick 4 widebands on your collector and all 4 will have different readings. With that said, you're on the right track, pick up a step colder plug and spray away!

If you dont have a window switch, I highly recommend one of those aswell.

Car currently has wot switch under the hood. It has dum. Nos 5177 dry kit already hooked up. I belive that'sthe model . I'll be taking that off in the spring. And installing my new setup. Couldn'ttune for spray because i might have fuel issue that needs to be wworked out. Fuel pressure gauge will sort that out. New era performance Mike is my tuner. With the plug affect drivability on the street? Thank you for all your help man

Np.

You wont notice a difference running a colder plug, or atleast i didn't, I wouldn't be doing too many n/a pulls on it tho.
