?? Will my cam/heads/rockers combo work ??
Before everyone starts bashing me to measure PTV clearance.... I would like some input if the combo will work! Stock LS1 bottom end with stock 243 heads. Lingenfelter GT1 cam (.563/.563,.219/.228,113 LSA) and Yella Terra 1.8 non adjustable rockers. I installed the heads and cam last fall along with some YT 1.7's on my 2000 C5. Made pretty good power but I what a little more. But I'm not changing the cam!!! Was hoping I could run the 1.8's safely without any PTV issues. Will this combo work??

Lift with 1.8's will be .596 and plenty of cams have over .6 without the need for flycutting.
Would like to know this myself as I have a 212/218..551/.563 115 in an LS2 and already have some Yella Terra ultrlite 1.8's from my old engine and wondered myself if I could safely run them with the current cam.

It's best to check, but unmilled heads and a small cam like that I think you'd be okay. Lift does not cause the PTV issues, it's duration and LSA. When you're at peak lift the piston should be moving to the bottom of the cylinder on the intake side, and on the exhaust side the piston should be moving up as the valve is closing.

112 LSA would be great, but choppy. 114 LSA would be a good compromise.
If MSD intake is ported properly, is a good match for street use with your smaller cam.
Headers are costing you power. 2 inch primaries would work best with your 434.

You're replying to an 8-year-old thread. I doubt the OP is around to see it.

It might have been a "Related Thread" that is way too easy to scroll down to. I wish they would just put a link to them instead of putting them right below the intended thread.
