Default Cam?

Looking to go for a max effort cam and wanting suggestions, first off I have a 2000 Trans Am WS6, right now my mods are TSP P&P stage 1 LS6 heads, not milled, Fast 92 ported by Tony Mamo, 92mm NW TB, Torquer V3 cam, 7.4 TSP pushrods, PRC dual springs, melling high flow oil pump, ls2 timing chain, ls7 lifters and ls2 trays, trunnion upgrades, 42 lb injectors, 255 fuel pump with hot wire kit, Eldelbrock Victor series drag race headers stepped, fully built 4l60e with yank ss 4k stall, 12-bolt with 3.73 gears. I have plenty more mods but that should be enough info, my current track times are 11.2@122 so far. I have talked to Martin at Tick and he suggested I go with the SNS torquemax stage 3, from all the reviews and vids of this cam I know I would be very happy with it but I wanted to see what the board had to say or if a custom grind would be better. I am trying to break into the 10's and want more high end grunt, I rarely if at all drive the car on the street, 99% of the driving I do is at the track. Oh yeah my race weight is around 3200lbs, sorry for the long post just wanted to be thorough.

I daily drove my 04 gto for a while with a stock cube 346 and ran a 238/242 .624/.624 112 lsa cam and 4000 stall. Maybe look at something like that but with higher lift

Here are a list of shelf grind max effort cams:

FTI Hellion 244/248 112
Futral Godzilla Jr 242/245 111
Tick Polluter v2 239/244 112
Vengeance Racing Vindicator 240/244 112
HPE Megadeth 244/242 112
Speed Inc SI7 - 238/244 112

Personally, the next level down is probably better for all out power while still being decent on the street:

Tick SNS 3 - 235/243 111
BTR Stage IV - 235/242 111
Futral F16 - 236/239 111
FTI StreetSweeper - 236/240 111
Vengeance VRX6 - 236/238 113
EPS 234/242 112

Yea Martin at Tick said that the SNS stage 3 would do wonders over my current cam, I just do a ton of reading before I ever pull the trigger on anything, I have ran both the MS3 and 4 in my previous T/A's and like the way they pulled up top, I have been searching for over a month now on different cam set-ups and talking to shops about what grind to go with, so far I have a well proven low 11 second combo but I want a good 10 second combo now, I am still doing things to lighten up the car too

Well I am not looking for a cam for my LS1 anymore, I am trading my cam to a buddy of mine for his LQ9 block that I will stroke out to a 408, I will transfer everything from my current motor to it and just replace the cam with of course something more suitable to a 408 like the texas giant or something like that. I will be keeping it N/A and wanting around 500-550HP, the rotating assembly I am looking at is from Speed inc and is there 408NA one with 11.8CR, I am thinking this would be a good start and I should be close to 500 with my current mods, I will upgrade to better heads later, for now I will run my stage 1 ls6's.

Back to what I said earlier. ...if you go 408 and want almost stock drivibilty then a 238/242 would be good, but I love my 255/271 in my 408...but if your sticking with a stock style ls6 or fast intake id go smaller than my cam...the carb style and tunnel rams favor larger cams (im running an edelbrock proflo xt)

I have some very nice stroker cams for 4" stroke LS engines that would be right up your alley as well!
