Just finished replacing headgaskets and now this! Can someone please help me identify this sound?

Sounds like a loose rocker...did you tighten the rockers that were "off" the cam and then rotate engine and tighten the ones that were "on" the cam before rotating?

Agreed. Sounds like a loose rocker. Easy fix.

Go back and make sure you torqued all the rockers to correct specs. Make sure the pushrods are seated properly also

No I didn't do that. How do I know if its on the cam or not?

The rocker won't be depressing the valve spring...

Ok I read that post but I still don't know how to locate the crankshaft sprocket to know if its in the right position or not

Ok checked the rocker and they are all still torqued to 22 ft lbs.

I removed the valve covers and found this. Is it normal and could it cause the knocking?
